The eruption heights range from 106 feet to more than 180 feet, averaging 130 feet. 3,700 to 8,400 gallons of water are expelled per eruption, depending on the length of the eruption. • Just prior to eruption, water temperatures at the vent of the Old Faithful reach 204 degrees F (95.6 degrees C).
